The Kwara State government has said that the new minimum wage of N30,000 is yet to be implemented.

This is in reaction to a report on a national daily to the effect that the state government has approved the payment of the minimum wage.

Rafiu Ajakaye, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor says the report is false and should be disregarded in its entirety.

“Government and labour teams are working round the clock to iron out an agreement that is realistic and progressive for the state,” he added.
