Auditor General for Kwara State Local Government, Hajia R.R. Sulyman, has debunked the claim made by a group called Kwara Stakeholders Consultative Forum on a radio program tagged Kwara Efura, which was aired on Thursday, 15 July 2021.

The group had alleged on the show that the official year 2020 figures and data relating to salaries of Local Government and SUBEB Staff released by the office of the Auditor General for Local Government is false, misleading and untrue.

While replying to this allegation, the auditor general for Kwara State local government made it known that auditing of figures and data for the year 2020 is not yet ready as of today, stating that the auditing of the said data is currently ongoing.

Hajia Sulyman, meanwhile, urged all the concerned persons to desist from playing politics with figures and data, noting that auditing is a sacred duty and should not be used in playing the politics of calumny.
