Authorities of Kwara State University, Malete have clarified that the institution is not recruiting as against the false news making the rounds that it has initiated a recruitment process of academic staff.

In a release on Friday by Abdulrazaq Sanni, Director, University Relations, people were urged to confirm suspicious news about the university from its website.

Sanni also cautioned admission seekers to be wary of scammers who may want to ride on them in the period of admission processing.

“The attention of the Management of Kwara State University has been drawn to the advert making the rounds in numerous social media platforms about an advertisement on a purported recruitment of academic staff into the university. This was published by a blogger, naijaschool.com.ng on Thursday, 23rd September, 2021,” the statement read.

“The Management of KWASU dissociates itself completely from this fake advertisement by a faceless blogger and states emphatically that at no time did the institution employ the services of this blogger to help publish such advertisement. Hence, no recruitment advert for lecturers or any staff was solicited by the university.

“We also want to alert the unsuspecting public to beware of scammers, especially at this period of admission processing, as it concerns the University. The general public can confirm any suspicious news or information about the University by logging on to our website on www.kwasu.edu.ng.”
