Oregon 2022: Amusan made history

Nigerian athlete, Tobi Amusan has made history in the Women’s 100m Hudrles on the last day of World Athletics Championships held in Oregon city of United States of America.

Tobi Amusan becomes the first Nigerian to set a world record in athletics by crossing the line in 12.06s. Britany Anderson of Jamaica came second in a blistering 12.23s, while American Jasmine Camacho-Quinn who’s also the Olympic Champion had to settle for the third position with the same time.

Elsewhere, Ese Brume sprang her biggest jump of the year to claim the second position in the long jump event.

She won the silver medal in the Women’s Long Jump.
