Ban on religious centres to remain in Lagos as Sanwo-Olu suspends reopening of mosques, churches

The Lagos State government has made a u-turn from its agreement to reopen religious centres as cases of the novel coronavirus disease keep surging among the people.

The state government has earlier on agreed on reopening religious centres following the ease on restrictions by the Federal Government.

In a new development, however, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has suspended the re-opening of churches, mosques indefinitely in an announcement on Tuesday afternoon.
