COVID-19: Fayemi’s result returns negative

Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi has recuperated from the novel coronavirus, just as his test result returned negative.

The Ravens had reported that Fayemi tested positive for the disease after his announcement on Twitter two weeks ago.

The governor spent no less than 11 days in self-isolation before recovering.

Announcing his new status, Fayemi took to his verified Twitter handle, @Kfayemi, writing: “After 11 days in isolation, I received news that my COVID-19 repeat test came back negative.

“My sincere gratitude goes to God Almighty, my family, my medical team and all well-wishers for the prayers and solidarity.

“We must continue to do all we can to tackle the pandemic,” he posted.
