Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State has dissolved his cabinet with effect from December 31, 2020.
This was made known in a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Rafiu Ajakaye.
Governor AbdulRazaq commended the cabinet members for their contributions to the state’s development throughout their stay in office and wished them the best in their future endeavours.
It was gathered that only Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Mamman Sabah Jubril retained his seat.
Governor AbdulRazaq also directed the former cabinet members to hand over to the most senior officers in their respective ministries.
It will be recalled that the cabinet members were sworn in on December 14, 2019, and have at least 56.25% female, which was remarkably the most gender-friendly cabinet on the African continent and the country’s youngest commissioner.
